To peacefully stand, defend, and fight for the freedoms of the people of Union County as stated under the United States Constitution and as given to us by the All Mighty Creator God.
UCFA is founded on our faith and trust in God. At the core, our desire is glorify God and serve the people around us. We believe, as written in the Declaration of Independence, “that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” We believe that our great nation gives us a better chance at these unalienable rights than any other system that has ever existed on the face of the earth. Nevertheless, our hope and trust rests not in this nation nor any of the nations of men, but in God, and God alone. For it is written, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight,” Proverbs 3:5-6.
We are an unofficial, grassroots group of individuals exercising our first amendment rights to freedom of speech and freedom of assembly in our effort to affect positive change in our communities. As a group, we do not take in any money nor do we give any money to political campaigns or causes. Our team has no official leader, no one has titles and there is no one point of contact.
Love for God, love for people and love for our country has inspired us to stand up together for what we believe and what we hold dear. The enemy does not love God, does not love America, and does not love the people who are all bearers of God’s image (Genesis 1:27). The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). Our eyes have been opened to a physical and spiritual war being waged on multiple fronts against America and its citizens. Religious liberties, parental rights, medical freedom, freedom of speech, the right to bear arms, the right to be secure in our person, the right to earn a living, and the freedom and safety of our own children are all under attack.
Freedom is an integral piece of God’s character and the universe he designed. “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom,” 2 Corinthians 3:17. God has given freedom to all his creation because true love cannot exist without the ability to freely choose it. America has been uniquely blessed because it was founded on trust in God and on His principle of freedom. We believe America was born by Providence and our founding documents contain wisdom from God. As it is written, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance,” Psalm 33:12.
One of the purposes God ordained for America was to send the gospel to the ends of the earth. “This gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come,” Matthew 24:14. Another one of God’s purposes for America was to preserve truth and freedom in the earth. In the year 1751 Leviticus 25:10 was inscribed on the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia: “Proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants.” Jesus also tells us, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free,” John 8:31-32.
Our nation was set up as a light to the world (Matthew 5:14) for truth and freedom. The Constitution was not written for the times, it was written to stand the test of time. The primary purpose of our government and our elected officials is to uphold The Constitution and preserve our freedoms under it. These freedoms outlined in the Constitution are self-evident by what God has created and the freedom he has endowed us with as his created beings. Many in our government have seemingly forgotten this and now better represent large corporate and special interests, rather than the interests of the people. Politicians have become more interested in their own POWER, PROFIT and CONTROL rather than TRUTH, FREEDOM, and HEALTH for the people.
Our aim was to keep to ourselves and lead fruitful lives. We did not dare go knocking on the door of politics. Yet we now realize that the rule of law and rule of the land was our responsibility all along. Now we realize that it is because good people like us have not engaged in the political arena that politics has now come threatening to beat down our door. No longer can we sit idly by and do nothing. No longer can we be silent. For all it takes for evil to triumph is for good men and women to keep quiet and do nothing. The time has come to rise up, speak up and take a stand together.
The solution resides both in the spiritual and the natural realms. The Bible tells us that we fight not against flesh and blood but against spiritual strongholds of darkness. And the Bible also tell us that our faith must be accompanied by action in the physical realm. There are spiritual forces behind what happens in the natural. This is why we must pray, intercede and contend in the spiritual, and then also do what God leads us to do in the natural. We must believe in God and trust his plan. And then equipped with faith, equipped with the full armor of God, we must step up, speak up, and fight for what we believe and for what is right, just and honorable.
How many have laid their lives down for freedom? We owe it to them, we owe it to our children and grandchildren to preserve the land of the free. How many have fought for our country without even fully understanding the cause? How much more can we fight for a cause that we can believe in with our whole hearts? Let’s dare to live and fight fully for everything that is true, pure and honorable.
As Ronald Reagan said, "The future doesn't belong to the fainthearted; it belongs to the brave." What separates those who write the future from those who, in weakness, repeat history? The future belongs to those who live heroically and honorably, and those who see the eternal value of the human soul and the smallness of this brief earthly existence in relation to it.
We mustn’t fear because the Lord is with us. For it is written, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand,” Isaiah 41:10-11. The Bible tells us “FEAR NOT” 365 times. That’s one time for every day of the year. Let’s fire the narrative writers and start writing it ourselves. We don’t have to be actors in their story. We can choose faith, family and freedom over fear. We get to write the story for our lives, our children and our future. That’s our job, not theirs.
May God endow us with the character, courage, faith and tenacity to truly live life to the fullest potential of what God made us for, lives that proclaim truth, love, light and the glory of God forevermore.
